A professional monetary economist and academic professional, Peter leads our macroeconomics, personal branding, and curriculum programmes. An alumnus of Stanford University in both economics and engineering, Peter also holds a Master’s in Education from Harvard University and a PhD in International Economics from the University of California.
Over the past decade, Peter has authored numerous policy publications covering Asia's emerging tiger economies and has worked with central banks in Asia and Europe as well as with multilateral institutions. As a former university professor, Peter also designed and taught advanced undergrad uateand graduate courses on monetary policy in Asia, financial intermediation, dynamic macroeconomic modeling, and economic development in Asia.
In addition to his economic research and teaching, Peter has successfully counseled numerous students on admissions to elite undergraduate and graduate institutions, including Harvard (Business, KSG and Law), Columbia, Yale, London School of Economics (LSE), Berkeley, New York University (NYU), and Georgetown. Having also worked with many early and mid-career professionals seeking to raise the bar on their credentials, Peter is the ideal academic and professional advisor.
After a long career at the Singapore Management University, he is currently engaged in writing books on monetary policy in Asia, economic branding, and curriculum design.
A Structured Finance Professional, Carl Plat has served as an officer and portfolio manager for
several large international and domestic banks in the area of Portfolio Investing & Risk Management.
Carl has also worked in the academic community and holds a PhD in International Economics
from the University of California. His specialty is market strategies and the adaptation
of firms to institutional and market rules.
